Africa Healthcare invites tenders from qualified vendors for the supply of uniforms for our employees. We are looking for a reliable supplier who can meet our uniform needs in terms of quality, quantity, and timely delivery. The scope of the tender includes the supply uniforms for different categories of hospital staff according to the group colour scheme. A tailor made fitting rage for healthcare service providers and administration staff.

This will cover approximately 13 hospitals that consists of about 1400 staff members. For more details on the location of these hospitals please visit www.africahealthcare.coza/findahospital.

Uniform requirements include but are not limited to:

a) Types

  • Shirts, Tunics, Scrubs, Pants, Skirts, Jackets, pull overs and waste coats.
  • Base garments should either consist of Charcoal or Navy as dependant on the colour scheme of the facility
  • Tunics, Tops, shirts will be in the colour of the logo of the facility.

b) Customization and sizing

  • Full size fitting range should be available for staff fitting prior to orders being placed – fitting ranges should be made available for hospital staff fitting and not be included in the company setup costs.
  • Uniforms must be measured and tailored per employee to ensure sizzing effectiveness.
  • Use of specific material will be required to ensure quality and elimination of different fabrics or colour changes due to fabric availability.

c) Branding

  • Uniforms must be branded according to the facility logo and colours as identified in initial meeting with chosen supplier.
  • Embroidery costs should be included in garment costs for base items like waste coats etc.

d) Quantity

  • Minimum of four sets per employee to the value of R 2500.00 (including all costs)
  • Delivery charges of garments should be factored into the garment costs
  • Packing must be done per individual employee indicating Name, Surname, Department, copy of the purchase order and Invoice.

Requirements and Eligibility Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in providing high-quality uniforms to businesses of similar size or industry
  • Ability to meet the delivery deadlines
  • Capacity to provide customer support for sizing adjustments or replacements
  • Proven track record of consistent quality and reliable service
  • Compliance with any relevant industry standards for safety or comfort
  • Ability to meet any specific requirements regarding fabric, durability, or safety (e.g., flame-resistant, waterproof)

Payment Terms

The Payment terms of the successful company can be negotiated accordingly to ensure mutual beneficial and viable solution for both parties, but should cover key components as listed:

  • Deposit per purchase order – 50%
  • First Payment on delivery – 15%
  • Final delivery 30 days after delivery 35%

Submission Instruction and closing date

  • Detailed Product catalogue indicating available unform types, fabrics and customization options. Further discussions will be held with regards to patterns where needed.
  • Breakdown of pricing including all costs
  • Lead time for production and delivery
  • Samples of base garments to be made available and present to the executive committee on request for initial meeting.
  • Company Profile including references form previous clients
  • Terms and conditions of sale including payment terms and any guarantees.
  • Disclosure of any personal relationship with employees of the group, shareholders and other related parties.

Closing Date

Interested parties are required to submit a formal proposal to tenders@africahealthcare.co.za by no later than the closing date

indicated. No applications will be considered that has been submitted by hand or by email unless formally requested to do so.
