A vacancy exists for a Services Supervisor reporting to the Hospital Manager.
This job exists for the Services Supervisor to manage, coordinate and provide guidance on soft services which include both internal and external services providers at Royal Buffalo Specialist Hospital in East London
Critical Outputs
• Management of external services providers pertaining catering, housekeeping, security, laundry, gardening services, pest control etc.
• Identify, together with Hospital Manager, applicable services and service providers
• Review SLA and in consultation with Hospital Manager , document specific hospital requirements and ensure signature by relevant parties.
• Monitor conformance to SLA, identify gaps and implement corrective action.
• Maintain productive relationships with service providers through regular meetings.
• Participate actively, where necessary, on internal and external review meetings
• Visible leadership in respect of RBSH values, operating model and strategy.
• Manage, plan agree and implement expenditure with hospital management
• Ensure accurate and timeous invoices are received and audited from external suppliers for processing.
• Participate in and/or identify opportunities to improve business processes, systems and resource utilization in order to achieve financial savings for RBSH.
• Conduct customer satisfaction survey on a regular basis and ensure requirements/complaints are identified, investigated, acted upon and managed appropriately
• Ensure external stakeholders conform to agreed quality standards and drive conformance to relevant health and safety legislation as it relates to area of responsibility.
• Prepare for and participate in various internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance to RBSH Services and Health and Safety policy standards, on-key system and relevant legislation.
• Provide a 24hr standby service to always ensure the availability of essential services for all stakeholders.
Requirements
• Degree/Diploma in a related field or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in a Private Health Care environment.
• Knowledge of contract management and health and safety regulations.
• Proven leadership and people management experience.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong leadership style with the ability to motivate and direct a team
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Computer proficiency.
• Drivers license.
